Kevin Singh Receives Prestigious AFOSR Young Investigator Award
The Department of Physics is pleased to announce that Kevin Singh, Assistant Professor and holder of the John W. Wilkins Endowed Professorship of Physics, has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Young Investigator Program (YIP) Award.
Singh's award-winning proposal, "Exploring Three-Dimensional Atomic Structures with High-Speed Holography and Isotopic Shifts," was selected within AFOSR's Atomic and Molecular Physics research portfolio. The project aims to advance our understanding of atomic-scale structure and dynamics through innovative experimental techniques that could open new frontiers in atomic physics and quantum science.
The AFOSR Young Investigator Program recognizes outstanding early-career scientists and engineers who demonstrate exceptional ability and promise for conducting basic research relevant to the U.S. Air Force mission. This prestigious award supports researchers whose work has the potential to make significant scientific and technological impacts.
Congratulations to Kevin on this well-deserved honor. We look forward to seeing the groundbreaking discoveries that emerge from this exciting research program.
