The Ohio State University has received a $4 million NSF award to lead a national effort focused on next-generation quantum sensing. The project brings together researchers from several leading institutions to develop quantum technologies capable of measuring materials and molecules with unprecedented precision.
Beyond advancing quantum science, the initiative will provide students with hands-on training and help build the future quantum workforce through partnerships with academia and industry.
"Our goal is to clearly demonstrate when and how quantum sensing can offer real advantages."
"This project is about building a shared testbed where researchers, students, and end users can work together to turn quantum capabilities into meaningful applications and move those ideas into the marketplace."
